KUCTE Kayamkulam was established in Nov 1997 under the control of university of kerala. It offers Graduate level two year B.Ed course.It is a Co-education type institution with a proposed intake of 50 students.There are 15 staffs in this institution and the campus area is about 5000 sq.mt .KUCTE is situated in the heart of kayamkulam. The Govt Boys High School and Govt Upper Primary school are situated in the same campus. It is located near National Highway 47 and the Kayamkulam RailwayStation is 1 km away from the college. The college have a hygenic surrounding with sufficient facilities in the campus. Academic session from which the course will be conducted at July 1st to 31st March (two Years).

There is the college Students Union which constitute the Arts Club, Sports Club and Recreational clubs. Apart from this, there is the teachers’ cultural association. The art’s club of the college started “Art’s Corner” to create awareness about various arts forms… matters related to 12 areas which include Dance, Music, Drama etc. were given priority to be displayed in the art’s corner board. The annual athletic meet, merit day, study tour, National Service Scheme (NSS), science association, language association, literary club activities, leadership training service etc. are some of the other activities conducted in the college. The festivals are also celebrated in the campus with its full vigour.
